MIMI is an architecture studio established in London by Mia de Miceu and Michele Tavola. The practice works across architecture, interiors and objects.
Rather than working through a fixed formal language, MIMI approaches each project as a specific response to its context, use and construction. Its work is centred on space and composition, exploring how proportion, material and the relationship between elements can shape the way a space is experienced.
Working across different scales, the studio seeks to create environments that are calm and precise, while allowing for complexity through layers, unexpected relationships and shifting points of view.
Mia de Miceu studied architecture at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, graduating in 2018. She later completed a postgraduate programme at the same university, where she has also taught architecture. Her professional experience includes Dieguez Fridman in Buenos Aires and Foster + Partners in London.
Michele Tavola studied architecture at Politecnico di Milano, including a period of study in Brisbane, Australia, before graduating in 2020. He began his professional career at MVRDV in Rotterdam and later joined Foster + Partners in London, where he is currently an Associate.
